Lying, literally, at the foot of Wawel Castle, the Royal Hotel is but a few minutes' walk from the Old Town and it's Rynek Glowny (Main Market Square). Much loved by Cracovians, the green promenade, known as the Planty, which encircles the Old Town is next door to the hotel, and adds to the overall uniqueness of the hotel's situation. As one may expect from a hotel of this category, guestrooms are modestly furnished but all provide private facilities, telephone, TV and radio. The meal plan for the Royal Hotel is inclusive of a hot buffet breakfast which provides more than enough nourishment for a full day's sightseeing, shopping or enjoying one of the many excursions available in the Krakow area; be it Zakopane, Wieliczka or a sombre visit to Auschwitz.
